Thomas Hoppe

Thomas Hoppe has developed a strong reputation as an exceptional pianist and

collaborative artist.

He performs frequently with instrumentalists and singers in the U.S. and in Europe

and has given concerts with such eminent artists as Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell,

Antje Weithaas, Mihaela Martin, Stefan Milenkovich, Jens Peter Maintz, Alban

Gerhardt, Tabea Zimmermann and Frans Helmerson, to name but a few.

Hoppe works regularly as official pianist for international competitions such as the

Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, Joseph Joachim in Hanover, Feuermann

in Berlin and ARD in Munich, for all instruments and voice, and he has taught

masterclasses in collaborative piano and chamber music worldwide.

He served as facultymember and staffaccompanist for the PerlmanMusic Program

at the invitation of Itzhak Perlman, whose entire studioHoppe accompanied at the

Juilliard School for many years.

A native of Germany, Thomas Hoppe studied withAgatheWanek inMainz. In 1993,

he went to the U.S. to study with Maestro Lee Luvisi, under whose guidance he

remained for five years. The first recipient of the Samuel Sanders Memorial Award

at the Juilliard School of Music, he finished his graduate studies there with a

diploma in collaborative arts and worked full-time for the studio of Dorothy Delay,

the legendary violin pedagogue.

Since October 2002 he has resided with his family in Berlin, where he is a full-time

faculty member at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler.

タベア・ツィンマーマン、フランス・ヘルメルソンらがいる。

ホッペは、ブリュッセルのエリーザベト王妃国際音楽コンクール、ハノーファーのヨーゼフ・

ヨアヒム国際ヴァイオリン・コンクール、エマヌエル・フォイアマン国際チェロ・コンクール、ミュ

ンヘン国際音楽コンクール等で、あらゆる楽器や声楽のための公式ピアニストを定期的に

務めているほか、世界中の伴奏・室内楽のマスタークラスで指導を行っている。

パールマンからの招きにより、パールマン・ミュージック・プログラムに指導者・伴奏者として

参加。さらに長年にわたり、ジュリアード音楽院のパールマンのクラスにて伴奏を任された。

ドイツ出身。マインツでアガーテ・ヴァネクに師事。

1993

年にアメリカに渡り、リー・ルヴィジの

もとで

年にわたり研鑽を積んだ。ジュリアード音楽院のサミュエル・サンダース・メモリアル・

アワードの初受賞者であるホッペは、同院の大学院を修了後、伝説的なヴァイオリン教師ド

ロシー・ディレイのレッスンで常任ピアニストを務めた。

2002

年

月より、家族と共にベルリンに在住。同地のハンス・アイスラー音楽大学にて後

進の指導に励んでいる。
