Each piece in Déodat de Séverac’s cycle refers to a town in the Pyrenees, and rather than visiting them all in one go, I was keen to move back and forth between them, also immersing myself in the places depicted by Federico Mompou. I therefore chose to cross the border with each piece, constantly changing surroundings, atmosphere and language. The programme took shape gradually, guided by my wanderlust.
