Description
The œuvre of César Franck (1822-1890) is certainly the most outstanding and touching in the nineteenth-century French organ repertory. It consists of twelve large-scale works whose fame is now universal.
In the recording made by Georges Kisselhoff on the Cavaillé-Coll organ of Luçon Cathedral in 1975, the timbres and textures of these pieces acquire an exceptionally attractive dimension.
