Promoter of the solo recital, creator of the symphonic poem, Franz Liszt was also a prodigious innovator in the organ repertory. In December 2020 Olivier Latry recorded a programme of his music on the Rieger organ of the Philharmonie de Paris, including Liszt’s three major works for the instrument, set off by transcriptions and arrangements.
